So today I got back to basics. I’ve been really struggling through the last set of paintings, maybe they were just too big, or I am just getting a little worn out. Either way, it is time for me to simplify!
This painting is a little one – 7×5 inches. And I have to say it is good to be working smaller. It takes the pressure off. This painting is inspired by a photo I snapped of my little sister in the botanical gardens here in Chicago. It was lush and green and a whole wall of orchids…. what’s not to love?
It’s not 100% there for me, but I feel like things are looking up.
