Today’s form is a bit flowery – spring greens and pink. Maybe that was why the Anne of Avonlea quote seemed to fit. Anne is nothing if not flowery.
I had something else written in my sketchbook but when the painting was finished it didn’t work. Good thing I write the titles in last!
I love the contrast of the pinks with the greens and the roughness of the brushstrokes. It’s simple, but I like it that way. No diamond sunbursts and marble halls here, but it’s not lacking in style and beauty. In my humble opinion of course :). As a side note – I think I like starting a painting with this grassy yellow-green.
